18-year-old Alvaro Rodriguez scores his first Real Madrid goal in 1-1 draw against Atletico Madrid, he's a future superstar

What a way to score your first goal for the club.

Introducing budding superstar Alvaro Rodriguez who scored his first Real Madrid goal in their 1-1 draw against Atletico Madrid.

In just his second La Liga appearance for the club, the 18-year-old sensation opened his goal account as he scored a late equaliser against cross-town rivals Atletico.

Diego Simeone's side were reduced to 10 men when Angel Correa was dismissed, but it was visitors who opened the scoring on Saturday.

Jose María Gimenez powered home a header from Antoine Griezmann's inviting free-kick in the 78th minute.

But second-half substitute Rodriguez rescued a point for his team after bagging his first goal for Real in dramatic fashion.

With just five minutes left on the clock, the Uruguayan forward brilliantly headed home Luka Modric's corner to make it 1-1.

The draw leaves Real in second place in the table, seven points behind league leaders Barcelona.

As for Rodriguez, he made his league debut in Real's 2-0 win over Osasuna last month.

He bagged an assist after coming on, impressing his boss Carlo Ancelotti who has tipped the youngster to play a key role for the remainder of the season.

"He’s a player with many qualities. He’s very tall, controls the ball well, and is formidable in the air," he said.

"He’s a striker who can help us, as he helped us today. It’s not easy for a young man to enter a Real Madrid game and play well.

"He’s made the difference inside ten minutes and given two assists. He’s going to help us this season, I am convinced."
