Newcastle star man Allan Saint Maximin has been engaging with fans on Twitter once again after a bizarre thread comparing the French winger to sex toys caught his attention.

He hasn’t been shy in getting amongst the fans on the popular social media platform, having replied to many fans’ criticisms during his time in England.

But his latest interaction is somewhat unexpected and rather bizarre.

The tricky winger has been involved in a thread of tweets that compared him to vibrators, with the sex toys changing in accordance to Saint Maximin’s kit and appearance on the football pitch. The thread gathered a lot of attention, fans were baffled but extremely entertained by the idea of the thread.

The Newcastle player shared the post on his Twitter feed, with a hilarious response of: “Entertainment guaranteed on and off the pitch.”

His reply added even more confusing to the already bizarre situation, with one fan replying with: “Allan mate, what is this?”

Another fan said: “You can’t be serious, how are you casually tweeting that?”

It is perhaps nice to see players managing their social media accounts by themselves and giving an authentic engagement to fans as many players have been criticised for letting management companies take control of their social media accounts.

The Frenchman for sure enjoys being in control of his own Twitter page, in his bio, he calls himself the ‘king of football Twitter.’

This isn’t the first time Saint Maximin’s attire on the pitch has grabbed the headlines, having previously caught fans' attention by wearing headbands by famous designers around the world.

He was told that he had to cover up his Gucci headband during a match against Manchester United as it contravenes sponsorship regulations in the Premier League.

There’s no denying Saint Maximin is having an influence online, and his influence on the pitch has also been important for his side. He has often been the go to man for Eddie Howe, having been a key player at the club since joining in 2019.

Newcastle are expected to spend big again in the upcoming transfer window as the new owners look to take the club further up the league table.

With better players likely to be brought in, Saint Maximin will be expected to have a much greater influence on his side when the season gets underway again.
