The move would have made the Englishman the most-expensive goalkeeper in the club's history.
However, The Athletic claims that, after face-to-face talks on Wednesday, no fee was able to be finalised and Arsenal will now look elsewhere.
And according to The Sun, Ramsdale is allegedly "very disappointed" that the transfer from Sheffield to London did not materialise.

With the opening fixture against Brentford to come on Friday, the goalkeeper department for Arsenal is now a pressing concern.
