Red Bull made sure to aim a sly dig at Formula One rivals Ferrari after unveiling their 2026 car.

With the 2026 Formula One season now just over one month away, teams have started to show off the exciting new cars that they will be racing in the upcoming season.

As part of the new regulations introduced for the season, teams are now required to cover at least 55% of their cars' surface area with paint or stickers, to reduce bare carbon fibre and improve visual distinction.

Because of this, fans have so far been impressed with the teams that have revealed their 2026 cars so far, including Red Bull Racing who became the first team to show off their new design.

And while revealing their sleek new design, Red Bull decided to tease rivals Ferrari ahead of their livery reveal later this week.

Returning to a more classic look, the Red Bull car and race suits will sport a lighter shade of blue to recent seasons, something that has been widely praised by fans.

Meanwhile Ferrari's design remains to be seen, with the Italian team set to reveal their car on Friday 23 January during an event expected to take place either at their Maranello base and/or adjacent Fiorano test track.

Before the event takes place, Ferrari have been teasing the big reveal with a series of teaser posts on social media, with one included one, posted on Sunday, which showing four darkened images of their drivers, Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc, and the 2025 car.

Captioning the post, Ferrari wrote: "Built in the dark. Driven in the light".

And it is exactly this post that Red Bull decided to poke fun at in their own post, showing off their brand new 2026 car.

Posting on X, Red Bull's social media account joked: "Built in the light. Also, driven in the light."

Fans clearly enjoyed the pre-season jab with one commenting on the post: "The season hasn't even started yet and Ferrari are catching strays already!"

While another added: "Building cars in the dark is pretty difficult. You guys cooked hard with this fine piece of social media."

And one joked: "We're in January and Ferrari are already getting cooked."

It remains to be seen how both Red Bull and Ferrari will perform on track, with testing set to begin from January 26-30 behind closed doors in Barcelona before fans get their first look of driving during two tests in Bahrain from February 11-13 and February 18-20.
