
'Weird' Formula 1 fans have been slammed for what they did shortly after the birth of Max Verstappen's daughter.
Red Bull star Verstappen has welcomed his first child with girlfriend Kelly Piquet.
The 27-year-old announced the news on social media, posting a series of black and white images of their baby girl.

He called her the 'greatest gift' and revealed that they had named her Lily.
On Instagram, Verstappen wrote: "Welcome to the world, sweet Lily. Our hearts are fuller than ever - you are our greatest gift. We love you so much."
In the aftermath of the birth of Verstappen's first child, 'weird' people were quick to create a social media account for Lily.
A social media post showed a slew of accounts attributed to Lily Verstappen had been created following her birth to the dismay of F1 fans.

One X user wrote: "I'm so confused like why people do it but I've seen the pattern it happens every time theres a newborn in celebrity families? And I genuinely don't understand the thought process do they do it for fame or what."

A second said: "I’m sorry but this is so weird."
A third added: "What an odd thing to do."
Another commented: "Okay but thats like kind of a weird thing to do immediately."
Verstappen's baby news came just a day after it was revealed he had been withdrawn from his scheduled media commitments for this weekend's Miami Grand Prix.

A Red Bull spokesperson said: "Max will not be attending media day in Miami as he is expecting a baby.
"All is well and he will attend track tomorrow for the race weekend.
"We will not be offering any further comment at this time in respect towards the privacy of Max and his family."
While Lily is Verstappen's first child, Piquet already has a daughter from her previous relationship with Russian racing driver Daniil Kvyat.
