Lewis Hamilton reveals 'secret Ferrari documents' as major changes planned behind the scenes

The Formula One legend has been working hard to help Ferrari turn their season around.

Lewis Hamilton has revealed that he sent Ferrari a series of secret documents to help the team turn their season around.

Despite teammate Charles Leclerc securing a spot on the podium, the Belgian Grand Prix was yet another disappointing race for F1 star Hamilton in his first season with Ferrari.

The British driver finished the race in 7th, meaning it has now been a year since his last main race win on the same track in July 2024.

With a four-week summer break coming up following the upcoming Hungarian Grand Prix, Ferrari are expected to make some major changes ahead of the latter part of the season.

And Hamilton has now spoken out to reveal exactly what role he will play in these changes, explaining that he has sent top secret documents to Ferrari that could change everything.

Apart from his win in the Chinese Grand Prix sprint race, the 2025 season has so far been one to forget for Hamilton, who is current sixth in the driver standings.

But rather than let that keep him down or impact his season further, the seven-time world championship winner has been working to help improve the car.

Speaking after the Belgian Grand Prix, Hamilton revealed that he had been spend a 'couple of days each week' at the Maranello factory, detailing exactly what he has been doing.

“I’ve called on lots of meetings with the heads of the team, so I’ve sat with John [Elkann], Benedetto [Vigna] and Fred [Vasseur],” Hamilton said,

“I’ve sat with the head of our car development, with Loic [Serra], but also with the heads of different departments, talking about the engine for next year, talking about front suspension for next year, talking about rear suspension for next year.

“I’ve sent documents; I’ve done [that] through the year. After the first few races I did a full document for the team, then during this break I had another two documents that I sent in, and so they would come in and want to address those.”

With less than half of the 2025 season remaining, it's unlikely that Hamilton will be able to make any massive changes to his final standings, but with the regulations changing next season, Hamilton's documents could prove vital to Ferrari's future success.
