Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri have revealed exactly what happened at the end-of-season dinner ahead of the final race of the Formula 1 season.

McLaren duo Norris and Piastri and Red Bull's Max Verstappen compete in a three-way championship showdown at Sunday's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

The F1 title is up for grabs as the trio are all aiming to be crowned world champion, with plenty of permutations on the cards.

But ahead of Sunday's highly-anticipated race, 17 F1 drivers met for their annual, end-of-season dinner as three stars were absent.

Lewis Hamilton hosted this year's dinner, having done so since 2022.

In a post on Instagram, Hamilton wrote: "Class of 2025. We’re the only people in the world to do what we do and for that we’re incredibly lucky.

"I’m grateful for this group of drivers I have the privilege of racing against and even though we’re competitors, there’s nothing but respect and I’m proud to call them friends. Hope to give you all a great last race of the season."

The drivers dined at a Japanese restaurant in The Galleria Al Maryah Island in Abu Dhabi.

And, according to Norris and Piastri, it was a pleasant outing, with 'no dramas'.

Asked about the dinner, the Australian said: "It was good. Yeah, no dramas," before claiming there was 'no beef'.

Norris added: "No dramas. No food fights."

He also refuted any suggestion that there were any 'food fights'.

Norris continued: "Plenty of sushi, delicious. It was nice to be honest. It was actually nice that we all get together once a year."

The Brit, however, did reveal that he and his McLaren teammate arrived late to the season-ending meal because they had been at their team's barbecue.

"I mean, we turned up quite late." he added. "We had our team barbecue as well last night so that was also a nice thing. So, we probably missed like the entries and starters and stuff but it was a nice dinner."

Judging by Norris and Piastri's comments, the end-of-season dinner was a cordial outing but it won't be on the track come race day.
