Lando Norris was filmed sharing an awkward moment with his dad as the pair celebrated his maiden Formula 1 world title in Abu Dhabi.

Norris secured the podium finish he needed to seal a first drivers' crown in the season finale at Yas Marina.

Despite a couple of nervy moments during the race, it was ultimately a composed drive from the Briton, as he won the title ahead of Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri.

After winning the tightest championship battle in years, Norris' emotions spilled over on the victory lap.

He lifted up his visa to wipe away tears, while waving to fans in the grandstands.

Moments later, he took to team radio to say: "I love you Mum, I love you Dad."

His father, Adam Norris, who is believed to have a net worth of around £200 million, has been a key figure throughout Lando's rise in motorsport.

Speaking to Sky Sports F1 after the race, he reflected on the commitment that had gone into Norris becoming a world champion.

He said: "A lot of travelling around the world to go-kart tracks.

"It was an amazing journey, really good fun, we went to weird and wonderful places at odd times and just relentless every weekend.

"But having fun, a lot of fun, really loved the journey and loved the destination and where we are now.

"A lot of hard work, we probably did more than most of the other people around, and he loved it more than everyone else so it was never painful, but it was hard."

Although he insisted the family never set out with the idea of becoming a Formula 1 world champion, the achievement understandably prompted a big celebration.

And it was during those celebrations at the after-party that a clip of Lando side-eying his dad's questionable dance moves began circulating on social moves.

Some fans joked that the moves were so embarrassing that Lando might have regretted bringing his dad along.

On X, one user joked: "Lando regretting all his choices in bringing his dad to the party."

Another added: "Adam is killing me."

A third said: "LANDO stop judging your dad."

Despite the teasing, the Norris family all looked to be enjoying the celebrations.

Another video showed Lando surrounded by friends and family singing 'We are the Champions' as the title win sank in.

After such a tense end to a dramatic title fight, Adam Norris' slightly awkward dance moves are unlikely to have dampened the mood of the McLaren star.
