Formula 1's governing body, the FIA, have released a full document after Red Bull had protested against George Russell at the Canadian Grand Prix.
On Sunday, Mercedes star Russell started on pole ahead of Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri as F1 returned at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.
Russell looked to be easing to his first win of the 2025 season before the safety car was deployed on Lap 67.

The safety car was needed after Lando Norris crashed on the run to the first corner following a failed attempt at passing teammate Piastri.
Eventually, the race ended behind the safety car with Russell taking the win ahead of Verstappen and Kimi Antonelli.
However, it later emerged that Red Bull had lodged two protests against Russell.

According to a document released by the FIA, Red Bull had complained about Russell 'driving erratically under Safety Car' and 'displaying unsportsmanlike behaviour'.
Verstappen said on his team radio: "George suddenly just aggressively braked," before his race engineer Gianpiero Lambiase replied: "Understood. Thank you. We will check for any erratic driving."
After both drivers were summoned to the stewards, the Red Bull protest was rejected, meaning Russell was able to keep his victory.
The document read: "Protest lodged by Oracle Red Bull Racing against Car 63 for allegedly driving erratically under Safety Car and displaying unsportsmanlike behaviour by complaining that Car 1 had overtaken under Safety Car conditions. Stewards’ Decision: The Protest is rejected as it is not founded.

"We accept the driver of Car 63’s explanation of the incident and we are satisfied that the driver of Car 63 did not drive erratically by braking where he did or to the extent he did."

It continued: "We are not satisfied that by simply reporting to his team that Car 1 had overtaken that he engaged in unsportsmanlike conduct.
"Even though the protest did not allege it, we are also satisfied that by braking where and when he did and to the extent he did, the driver of Car 63 did not engage in unsportsmanlike conduct. The Protest is rejected as it is not founded."
