Ferrari are reportedly set to receive a Formula 1 bonus that rivals Red Bull and McLaren won't get.

Before the start of the 2025 season, a lot of people expected Ferrari to mount a proper challenge to the likes of McLaren and Red Bull.

However, despite signing Lewis Hamilton, it has been a season of struggles for the Scuderia.

Ferrari have not been able to secure a Grand Prix victory so far this season, with their only win coming in the Chinese Grand Prix sprint, when Hamilton finished first.

However, despite their lack of wins and podiums, both Hamilton and Charles Leclerc have managed to score regular points.

Currently, Ferrari are second in the standings, a long way behind McLaren, who were confirmed champions following the Singapore Grand Prix.

The Scuderia have collected 356 points and are one point ahead of Mercedes and 10 points ahead of Red Bull.

Despite being nowhere near winning the title, Ferrari are set to receive a big bonus.

As reported by The Race, Ferrari will get a financial bonus for being F1's longest serving team.

The report stated that Ferrari have 'always enjoyed some special privileges for remaining a part of the series'.

It has been suggested that the historic bonus given to the Italian outfit is around 5% of the entire prize fund.

The report added: "Sources have suggested that this maxes out at 10% of anything above and beyond the $1.6billion (USD) mark – something that has not been hit yet.

"While the exact percentage Ferrari gets cannot be verified, if we take the 5% figure as a close enough estimate, then that means $63.3million in its coffers before a wheel has turned."

In comparison, it was reported by Racing News 365 that McLaren earned an estimated $161 million for winning the 2024 constructors' world title.

As per The Race, McLaren are set to take home $132.9 million for winning the 2025 championship.
