A month on since the flawless win in Suzuka, the championship leader heads into his next challenge, and it’s a big one. The next Sprint Race weekend of the 2026 season takes place at the Miami Grand Prix, and it’s already shaping up to be an unmissable spectacle. When the lights go out this Sunday, all 22 drivers will be charging into battle catch it live on Sky Sports F1.
Just three races in, this new era of Formula 1 has already delivered relentless, edge-of-your-seat drama. The new regulations have sparked bold overtakes and unpredictable wheel-to-wheel battles, powered by the game-changing electric motor boost. The added “boost button” effect has taken the excitement to another level and fans are hooked!

Despite the new rules for the F1 community to get their head around, it’s fair to say the Mercedes boys have done their homework.
The silver arrows have hit the ground running with the dynamic duo already delivering some stand out victories. Antonelli and Russell have made a powerful statement in this competition so far, signalling a record breaking come back is on the horizon for a team that hasn't claimed a Constructor's title in 5 years.
Without a doubt the star of the show so far is the wonderkid, Antonelli, who has been lightning quick for Mercedes and leading the pack after winning the previous couple of races in China and Japan.
The Italian’s biggest challenge though could be from the other side of the Mercedes garage. Russell opened his season with victory in Australia before adding a win in the China Sprint. He is firmly pushing for the top spot, setting the stage for a thrilling teammate rivalry set to intensify in Miami, all available to watch live on Sky Sports F1.

And Mercedes are not alone. Over in the red corner, Ferrari are closing in fast with Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton already delivering fierce on-track battles. If China is anything to go off, we are in for some serious entertainment in this upcoming next heat.
We saw a lot of overtaking between the two in China, at least six key position changes, creating heart in mouth moments especially for Team Principle Frédéric Vasseur.
With three podiums between them, Ferrari are firmly in the fight and ready to challenge Mercedes in the next exhilarating chapter of this season.
Can Ferrari strike back? Or will Mercedes make it four in a row?
Be sure to catch all the unmissable drama from Miami, LIVE on Sky Sports F1.
