A Formula One driver was left stranded on his own in Sao Paulo airport ahead of the Brazilian Grand Prix.
The Formula One season resumes on Friday as, with just four races left this season, the grid will lineup at the Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace in Sao Paulo for the Brazilian Grand Prix.
With Sao Paulo hosting a sprint race this weekend, the first and only practice session will take place early on Friday afternoon, with sprint qualifying taking place shortly after.
Therefore, all 20 of the drivers have already started arriving in Brazil for the race so that they can begin their preparations.

However, for one driver it was a complete nightmare travelling for the race after his team forgot to collect him from the airport, leaving him stranded on his own for some time.

Going into the Brazilian Grand Prix, a lot of the attention will be on reigning champion Max Verstappen, with fans eager to see if he can continue his impressive form and mount a late charge for the title.
However, significant pressure will also be on his Red Bull teammate Yuki Tsunoda amid reports that he could be replaced in the 2026 season.

And it appears that Tsunoda has had a disastrous start to his race weekend as a video has gone viral on social media showing the Japanese driver stuck alone in Sao Paulo airport.
The video, shared by Brazilian journalist Mateus Urcezino, shows Tsunoda frantically walking around the airport with his luggage, clearly confused as he tries to contact someone from his team.
Captioning the clip, Urcezino wrote: "Yuki Tsunoda arrived on the morning of this Tuesday, a detail that the Red Bull driver was completely lost because nobody was waiting for him, he stayed for some time in the lobby."
Unfortunately for Tsunoda, some report have claimed that it is already decided that he will lose his seat at the end of the season, with Isack Hadjar set to be Verstappen's teammate.

It has been reported that Hadjar's promotion from sister side Racing Bulls is an 'open secret' within the sport after the rookie impressed with his first ever podium finish at the Dutch Grand Prix.
But Tsunoda isn't willing to let the rumours put him off ahead of the final races of the season, as he addressed them for the first time in September,
"I'm just focused on what I can do," he told Sky Sports.
"It doesn't matter. Rumours are rumours. It's not the facts. Let them enjoy the rumours, and I will just stick with it anyway."
