An Al-Powered Sports Big Data Analytics company have worked out how much each sponsor made from Lewis Hamilton's first social media post in a Ferrari suit, and the figures are staggering.

Social media has been going Hamilton crazy this week, as the seven-time F1 world champion's arrival was marked with an already iconic image of the new signing standing alongside an F40 at Maranello.

Hamilton has been extremely active on social media since arriving at Ferrari's base and shared countless images of his first factory tour and first test.

Prior to his test on Wednesday, the former Mercedes man sent the internet into a second storm with the first image of him in a Ferrari race suit.

The post quickly went viral and has gained over 4.1 million likes since it was posted on Tuesday.

Hamilton is seen posing with all of the Scuderia's main sponsors visible on his fireproof, and data analysis company 'Sponsorlytix' have claimed to have worked out the staggering financial impact the post has had.

The 'total estimated sponsorship impact' from Hamilton’s post

-HP – $62.1K

- Shell – $52.1K

- Ferrari – $50K

- IBM – $48K

- VGW – $45.3K

- Ceva – $41.5K

- Puma – $40.2K

- Richard Mille – $37.2K

- UniCredit – $35.9K

The figures demonstrate just how important star power can be in professional sports, and shows exactly why the Italian team have taken a risk on the aging Hamilton.

During Hamilton's first day at Maranello, the 40-year-old released his first official statement via the Ferrari website.

"There are some days that you know you’ll remember forever and today, my first as a Scuderia Ferrari HP driver, is one of those days," Hamilton began.

"I’ve been lucky enough to have achieved things in my career I never thought possible, but part of me has always held on to that dream of racing in red. I couldn’t be happier to realise that dream today.

"I’m incredibly grateful to John Elkann, Benedetto Vigna, Fred Vasseur, and everyone at Ferrari for their trust in me and making me part of this family."
