A brutal Charles Leclerc stat has emerged after Lewis Hamilton's dismal weekend in Qatar continued.

On Saturday afternoon, Hamilton started from the pit lane for the Qatar Grand Prix Sprint and only managed to finish P17 after yet another disappointing session.

Speaking afterwards, the 40-year-old revealed that he had to fight the car around the Lusail Circuit due to the lack of stability.

He said: "We started from the pit lane because we wanted to explore and make some changes. They had some things they found on the simulator last night.

"So we implemented those changes and the car was really in the wrong direction and very, very difficult for whatever reason, clearly for both us."

Just a few hours after the conclusion of the Sprint, Hamilton's horrible weekend continued as he was knocked out of the first qualifying session for Sunday's Grand Prix.

As a result, he will start the race from P18.

Hamilton has now been knocked out of Q1 in back-to-back weekends, having endured a tough time last weekend during the Las Vegas Grand Prix.

Following yet another Q1 exit, a damning stat was posted on social media, which sums up how bad Hamilton's first season with Ferrari has been.

According to F1 statistician Daniel Valente, Leclerc has outqualified Hamilton 18 times during the 2025 season, the most he's ever had over a teammate.

He wrote on X: "Charles Leclerc has outqualified Lewis Hamilton 18 times this season, more than any teammate he’s ever had.

"2025: 18-5 vs. Hamilton. 2018: 17-4 vs. Ericsson."

Reacting to Hamilton's early exit, Sky Sports F1 lead commentator David Croft said: "Where do you start with the debrief for Lewis Hamilton? It's another sorry, disappointing lap for him.

"He couldn't hook a lap together. He's a better driver than this."

Meanwhile, the likes of Lando Norris, Oscar Piastri and Max Verstappen are frighting to become world champion with two races left to run.
