Cadillac stepped up their preparations for their 2026 entry into Formula 1 during the Italian Grand Prix last weekend.
Their arrival into the sport will be the first time F1 has had more than 10 teams on the grid since the 2016 season, with Manor Racing folding in March of 2017.
Cadillac are hoping to get off to the best possible start and have already announced Sergio Perez and Valtteri Bottas as their drivers for the 2026 season.
The pair possess 527 Grand Prix starts between them, with both drivers winning multiple constructor championships in the last decade with Red Bull and Mercedes.

The Americans have also made a start with their pitwall team, and went above and beyond during the Italian Grand Prix to ensure they are prepared for next season.
According to Autosport, Cadillac simulated their performance in Monza using 50 staff members across the UK and USA.
The report also claims the test included driver media commitments to ensure everyone on the team knows exactly what a Formula 1 weekend entails.

Cadillac expect to be last
Regardless of any preparation, team principal Graeme Lowdon has admitted that despite having limitless ambition, they are almost certainly set to start the F1 life at the back of the field.

"You will not see this team over-promising in any way," Lowdon said in an interview via Reuters in July.
"But we do want to convey the fact that the ambitions are really limitless, as they should be."
"You have to assume that any new team coming in is going to be last. Otherwise, what's gone wrong somewhere else?
"We're trying to be as competitive as we possibly can but we're realistic," he added.

"We're happy with our progress, but we just don't know. Other than if we beat someone then someone's going to be angry.
"We've already issued somewhere in the region of 6,000 drawings. We've made 10,000 components already while we've been kind of quiet," Lowdon continued.
