Three Formula 1 stars have been tipped to play a role in Brad Pitt's F1 film which is set to be released next year.

The film, titled 'F1', is set to come out in 2025 and will star the likes of Pitt, Damson Idris, Javier Bardem and Kerry Condon.

Over the weekend, it was rumoured that the film crew were busy filming the remaining parts of the film as Pitt was spotted on the top step of the podium, flanked by Mercedes star George Russell and Ferrari's Charles Leclerc.

Pitt was later seen celebrating with Bardem on the podium, which could be a sneak peek into what the story could be.

While it is unsure which F1 stars will play a part in the film, three current drivers have been listed as part of the cast on IMDb.

The three listed were seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton, Spaniard Carlos Sainz and soon-to-be Haas driver Esteban Ocon.

Popular F1 journalist Will Buxton was also listed as one of the cast members.

However, the quartet did not have a character or a role next to their names.

Speaking about the film on Sunday in Abu Dhabi, Pitt said: "I've got so much respect for these guys. What these drivers and cars can do. It's off the charts.

"I've been having the time of my life. I wish it could go on another year. I might shed a tear!"

He added: "It's really good fun. Our director said put actors in the car and bed ourselves in the weekend and make the best racing movie. I dare say we have done it."

Producer Jerry Bruckheimer stated that Abu Dhabi would be the last place they film on location.

As per The National, he said: "All in all, we’ve visited about nine tracks and Abu Dhabi is the last one. The Yas Marina Circuit is amazing, and the people in Abu Dhabi have been so gracious and wonderful to us.

"They have welcomed our production with open arms and made everything very easy for us to film here."

The last race of the 2024 F1 season was won by Lando Norris, which successive helped McLaren clinch the constructor's title, their first since 1998.
