Luke Littler gave a striking update about his darts career after he progressed at the Players Championship Finals.
Littler eased his way into the second round with a comfortable 6-1 victory against Jeffrey de Graaf.
After being introduced as the world No.1 for the first time in his career, the 18-year-old averaged 104.46 to continue his hunt for a maiden Players Championship title.
But he is considering not playing a single Players Championship event next season.
If he skipped the Players Championship events, he would forego much of the PDC Pro Tour season and would miss out on prize money and titles.
He insists that a decision will be made behind the scenes before confirming his decision.
Asked if he has thought about skipping the Players Championship events next season, Littler replied: "Yeah... the Players Championship Finals is one that I've not got yet and I definitely do want to get it."

"Do I go to a few or do I not? (I've) been having discussions behind the scenes whether I just do the ones in Wigan and don't go into the rest. If I qualify, I qualify... if I don't, I don't... but we'll have to make that decision behind the scenes and let everyone know."

'The Nuke', meanwhile, earned the world No.1 ranking after beating Luke Humphries in the Grand Slam of Darts final in Wolverhampton.
On being introduced as the world No.1, the teenage phenom added: "It felt absolutely amazing, probably one of the best feelings I've had, to be world champion and world number one at the same time - but there is more to come.
"This is the title I haven't won yet. Last year I came up short against Luke Humphries so I want to tick this one off."
