Luke Littler's prize money for winning the 2025 World Darts Championship has been revealed.

Littler, who made last year's World Darts Championship final before losing to Luke Humphries, has won a world title in just the second time of asking.

He produced a stunning showing at Ally Pally to beat Michael van Gerwen 7-3 on Friday.

The 17-year-old had defeated the likes of Ryan Joyce, Nathan Aspinall and Stephen Bunting before dominating three-time world champion Van Gerwen in the final.

The defending Premier League champion is now the world champion.

How much will Luke Littler earn from winning the 2025 World Darts Championship?

In winning his maiden world championship, Littler will pocket a whopping £500,000.

Despite losing the final, Van Gerwen will take home a cool £200,000.

A strong run at the World Darts Championship can be crucial, as all prize money is added to a player’s ranking on the two-year Order of Merit system.

For instance, Michael Smith entered this year’s tournament as the world number two, but ‘lost’ the prize money he was defending from winning the title two years ago.

While he would have previously been automatically qualified for most major tournaments, his surprise second round defeat to Kevin Doets means he is outside of the top 16 heading into 2025.

But PDC professional Matthew Edgar revealed last month that players don’t actually receive their full prize money at the end of the World Championship.

Players receive remittance notices and deductions, because they are officially self-employed contractors and not directly employed by PDC.

Edgar said: "Two per cent [of the prize money] is your PDC levy - that comes off everything before you even get it, and comes from playing on the Challenge Tour to being world champion.

"We all pay two per cent on our prize money before we even get it. Not only that, you’ve got to consider your membership fees. £500 is your membership, which goes before you even get it. That’s a once a year fee, and your DRA fee as well.

"I’ve got to deduct travel, my hotel and any other costs with that. Then, the money that is left is open to tax."

2025 World Darts Championship full prize money breakdown:

Winner - £500,000

Runner-up - £200,000

Semi-finals - £100,000

Quarter-finals - £50,000

Fourth round - £35,000

Third round - £25,000

Second round - £15,000

First round - £7,500
