Luke Littler has revealed the major purchase he plans to make after winning £500,000 for becoming the World Darts Champion.

The teenager avenged his debut defeat to Luke Humphries last year in emphatic style, as the 17-year-old dismantled three-time Champion Michael van Gerwen 7-3 in the final.

Speaking afterward, the teenager said: "I can’t believe it, I honestly can’t believe it. We both played so well and I said in my interviews I needed to get off to a quick start and that’s what I done."

Littler moves up to second in the PDC rankings, despite only being active for one full year as a professional.

The Nuke has been catapulted into a world of wealth and stardom in the last 12 months after racking up over £1 million in prize money following his £500,000 paycheque from defeating Van Gerwen.

Following his victory, Littler revealed his priority purchase for 2025 is going to be a car after struggling to find time to have lessons during a hectic 2024.

“Last year I was looking at driving and I loved the Ford Focus, but now I’ve gone up in the world just a little,” Littler told reporters after his triumph at Ally Pally via The Independent.

Due to 'going up in the world', Littler has his eye on a more suitable first car for a man of his stature, however, the darting sensation has still remained rather humble despite his new wealth.

“I’ve always loved a Mercedes A-Class. Just a small car," he said.

However, Littler will have to wait until at least the 21st of January to secure his new whip, as it has been revealed the teenager is not currently in control of his finances.

As reported by The Telegraph, he will get an allowance from his management company until he turns 18.

The report stated: "Littler collected a £500,000 first prize after realising his childhood dream of being crowned champion at Alexandra Palace on Friday night but, with his 18th birthday still three weeks away, he will continue to receive an allowance from his management company."

Littler's manager, Martin Foulds said last month: "He just gets a budget every month that is sent across to his personal account, and he can buy what he wants with that: Fifa points or trainers.

"He just gets an amount that is plenty for a 17-year-old lad. If he ever needs anything, or if he wants an extravagance, he can just ask.”
