But one player will make sure he is careful during the competition after he was handed the biggest fine in the sport's history by the Darts Regulation Authority (DRA).

Back in 2018, Welsh darts player Gerwyn Price met Gary Anderson in the Grand Slam of Darts final in Wolverhampton.
Although Price went on to win the match, becoming Wales' first major PDC title winner in the process, he will no doubt remember the night after his behaviour landed him several fines that totalled over £20,000.

During the tense affair, temper boiled over on several occasions, with one incident happening after Price celebrated in a rather enthusiastic way, leading to Anderson pushing his opponent in protest.
Price's behaviour came after after a similar situation occurred in his match with Simon Whitlock in the tournament's quarter-final.
Fans registered official complaints about the Welshman and he was eventually deemed to be “in breach” of the DRA’s rules.
“He [Price] also admitted to a breach of the DRA Rules for putting inappropriate posts on social media," a statement read.

Price was given an £8,000 fine for his actions towards Whitlock, £12,000 for his behaviour towards Anderson and a further £1,500 for posts on social media as well as a three-month suspended ban.
Despite pushing his opponent during the match, the DRA deemed Anderson's behaviour to have been “significantly provoked” with the DRA dubbing it a “non-aggressive push”, letting him off with a formal warning.
Price's fine was later halved but his appeal over the verdict was rejected.
