Training Gallery: Manchester City put final preparations together ahead of Champions League group stage clash with Sevilla

Manchester City have put together their final preparations at the City Football Academy, ahead of the Champions League clash with Sevilla.

Pep Guardiola's Manchester City squad travel to Spain on Monday afternoon, with a clash against La Liga side Sevilla on Tuesday night next on the agenda.

City come in to the clash off the back of a frustrating and disappointing 1-1 draw against Aston Villa in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

While it was yet another goal for the in-form and largely unstoppable Erling Haaland, a Leon Bailey stunner brought the hosts level and restricted Manchester City to taking home just a single point from Villa Park.

Sevilla have got off to an atrocious start in La Liga this season, registering one draw and three defeats in their four matches.

Key Moments

In amongst the various injury concerns hampering Pep Guardiola's squad during the first few weeks of the season, Monday morning's session brought about some welcome news.

Returning to first-team training was summer signing Kalvin Phillips, who appears to have fully recovered from the injury sustained in the Charity Friendly match against Barcelona last month.

The club's sixth and final signing Manuel Akanji also joined his new teammates, after returning to Germany for the birthday of his child over the weekend.

Both players will subsequently make up part of the travelling squad which will fly to Spain on Monday afternoon, with Pep Guardiola expected to confirm their availability later in the evening.
