Juventus Star Wants To Leave And Join Premier League Team In The Champions League

Juventus Star Wants To Leave And Join Premier League Team In The Champions League

Juventus' star midfielder wants to leave the club this summer, with a Premier League club in the Champions League on his wishlist.

After securing the £51 million signing of Erling Haaland, Manchester City have moved onto other key targets to reinforce a stat-studded squad.

A lot of their business will depend on outgoings, but club captain Fernandinho's departure after nine years of incredible service accelerates the need to find his replacement.

Leeds United's Kalvin Phillips is the player most heavily linked with filling that void and negotiations are surely set to progress now his UEFA Nations League duty is complete.

Despite not operating as pure defensive midfielder, the so-called 'Yorkshire Pirlo' has earned rave reviews for his incredible versatility.

A quality Pep Guardiola will surely be very excited by.

Staying on the topic of midfield, Bernardo Silva's links with FC Barcelona do not seem to be going away, despite what Guardiola claimed last week.

The Catalan, in the midst of announcing a charity friendly between City and Barcelona, told reporters: " I think he (Silva) will continue with Manchester City.

"I have always said I don't want players that don't want to be with us. But Bernardo (Silva) is important and I think he will stay (at Manchester City)."

City have a conundrum with Silva - because they have been in this position before.

Last summer, the Portuguese international wanted to leave the club, with various outlets stating he had become unsettled with the lifestyle in Manchester.

However, with no suitable bidder, Silva stayed put and played a vital part in City's fourth Premier League in five seasons.

If the 27-year-old were to get his way this summer, it would throw up an interesting question about some potential business City may explore.

As per a report by Jason Burt in the Telegraph, Adrien Rabiot wants to leave Juventus this summer, with a move to the Premier League on top of his agenda.

The Frenchmen would ideally like to join a team that have qualified for the UEFA Champions League - so City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are the most likely suitors.

Despite this, the report also points out Manchester United and Arsenal could still make an offer to see what the player decides.

Rabiot - a former PSG star - has been linked with a move back to the French champions, but the report states he is not interested in that particular venture.

There is no concrete interest from any of the aforementioned clubs - including City - but the opportunity to sign such a high-class midfielder could be tempting.

Particularly if Silva does leave the club.
