Tyson Fury Responds To Jake Paul After $1 Million Bet Request

Tyson Fury Responds To Jake Paul After $1 Million Bet Request

Jake Paul is set to return to the ring in August.

Tyson Fury has responded to Jake Paul after the YouTube star challenged the boxer to a bet of $1 million.

Youtuber turned boxer Paul is set to return to the ring in August, with a fight against Tyson Fury’s brother, Tommy, on the agenda.

Tommy and Paul has been trading war of words for a long time but they are now finally set to touch gloves after Tommy was forced to pull out of their planned fight last December due to a broken rib.

In a recent interview, Tommy’s brother, Tyson who is the unbeaten heavyweight champion said: “I’m backing Tommy and I will put my money where my mouth is.”

“I have got £100,000 with anybody. I’ll put it on Tommy and that’s it, that’s how I feel about it.”

After that interview went out, Paul challenged Tyson to up the bet to an eye watering $1 million.

Paul said in a video: “You made $40 million, let’s up the ante let’s bet a million, two million, however much you want to bet on it!”

And now, Tyson has replied. The below video contains strong language.

He said: “This is a message for Jake Paul. I hear you want to bet a bigger bet than $100,000. You want a bigger bet, you want $1 million. Let’s do it!”

“You want a million, you got it!!”

A stern response from the man who has never tasted defeat in his stellar professional boxing career. Tyson announced in April that he will be hanging up his gloves for good, after beating Dillian Whyte at Wembley Stadium, he has ended his career undefeated with 32 wins and one draw from 33 fights.

And now all eyes will be on Tyson’s brother, Tommy who has eight wins out of eight in his boxing career.

Although Tommy has the full backing of his brother, Tyson did send a word of warning ahead of his fight against Paul.

He said: “If Tommy Fury can't win against Jake Paul he has no right in being a fighter.”

“I think Tommy knocks him out and he has got to believe in himself and go over there and put on a show. He has to enjoy it as he's getting paid a lot of money to fight a guy who hasn't fought on an actual boxer.”

The much anticipated fight between Fury and Paul will take place at Madison Square Garden in New York on 6 August.
