Anthony Joshua's Diet A Week Before His Big Fight Is Ridiculous

Anthony Joshua's Diet A Week Before His Big Fight Is Ridiculous

The heavyweight champion of the world looks to unify his titles with the one held by Joseph Parker.

When you think of being fit and healthy like an athlete you think about eating right, if eating right means never eating the things you like most again. But that's clearly not the case as Anthony Joshua proved a week out from his big fight.

Here I am sat at my desk eating a salad as I try and continue my attempts to be healthier in 2018, I ate McDonalds yesterday so it's hardly going perfectly, and I've got no sporting event to train for.

These gym fails are exactly why I don't go, well that and laziness:

Anthony Joshua on the other hand, don't get me wrong this is far from the only thing that distinguishes us, is busy preparing for his world heavyweight title unification fight with Joseph Parker next Saturday.

Of course AJ is in stunning shape as usual but whilst I'm desperately trying to eat like a rabbit to give me a chance of not becoming so fat I can't get through doors he's busy stuffing his face with good food rather than food good for him.

But because Joshua actually does exercise rather than sitting on his arse writing about people who do exercise he can afford to take in this incredible meal:

On his Thursday night buffet there's chicken wings, chicken skewers, a pizza, a chinese platter, Jamaican patties as well as a can of coke a bunch of dips and some sweet chilli sauce.

It really is the meal of a bloody kind and doesn't really scream of a man about to take on one of his biggest fights but then that's what you can do when you're a heavyweight and a man who is doing a lot of work a day.

Joshua will head to Cardiff for the second fight in a row to defend his WBA (super), IBF and IBO heavyweight titles whilst New Zealander Joseph Parker puts his WBO title on the line.

The winner will unify four belts but also have the chance to take on fellow undefeated fighter Deontay Wilder for the WBA title and have all the gold in his possession.

Now do I start exercising or eating like AJ anyway? I think we all know the answer.
