Instagram Post Shows McGregor Practising 'Illegal Move' In Training

Wrong sport, mate

The McGregor/Mayweather mind games have taken a new turn, as Ireland's premier cheeky fucker (in a matey way. Please don't take that as a cue to come and put my head through my computer monitor) Conor McGregor has put up a questionable Instagram post, in what looks to be another attempt to spook his opponent.

In the photo, posted earlier today, we can see the Irish lightweight UFC champion looming over his sparring partner and looking like he's poised to deliver a killer blow, while his opponent cowers on the ground. Obviously, this is pretty far from 'inside the rules' as far as boxing goes.

The pair have been going tit-for-tat over the past month or two, trying to show each other up at any given opportunity.

Mayweather previously taunted McGregor by posting a photo of him standing next to a table of cash, with the caption, "I'm gonna make a $hit t$n of money on August 26th."

However, although the odds are stacked against him in the ring, McGregor is undeniably the king of beef.

The MMA fighter took to the stage in front of fans in Toronto to mock Mayweather about his dress sense.

"How do I look?" McGregor asked the crowd, before pointing at Mayweather's bag. "He's 40! Dress your age, carrying a school bag on stage.

"What are you doing with a school bag on stage? You can't even read."

Mayweather, dressed in a T-shirt and cap while McGregor wore a suit, replied: "I'm the one that can't read? I do numbers, I make money,"

"You owe money," McGregor responded, referring to reports that Mayweather asked the IRS earlier this month for more time to pay his 2015 tax bill.

Things are still hotting up, but we'll have to wait until 26 August to see what happens.
