Ricky Hatton has launched a fundraising page for the family of Mike Towell - and started it off by donating £5,000.
The boxing legend is among those in sporting community to pay their respects to the fighter, who tragiccally last night after his fight against Dale Evans at St Andrews Sporting Club on Thursday night.
Towell, from Dundee, was only 25 and forging a strong reputation for himself in the sport before passing away at hospital. As the whole of Britain reacts to the shock news, Hatton decided to do his bit to help Towell's family of a partner and young son.
The Mancunian former fighter asked on social media whether anybody had started a fundraising campaign for them - and after finding out nobody had, he took matters into his own hands:
