'Creed II' Filming At Joshua Vs Parker Fight Turns Fans Into Movie Extras

Boxing fans became movie extras last night as shots for Creed II were filmed at the Anthony Joshua vs Joseph Parker match at the Principality Stadium.

The shots were filmed in between the evening's fights - which included a victory for Anthony Joshua after he beat Joseph Parker in a world heavyweight unification bout.

Creed II filmmakers had decided to take advantage of the 80,000-strong crowd, using a 360-degree camera to record, the Sun reports.

Takes were filmed from inside the ring, with supporters being encouraged to make background noises.

One fan tweeted to say that they'd all become 'extras', explaining that the ring announcer shouted out names like Anthony Joshua, Sugar Ray Leonard and Deontay Wilder and asked fans to react with cheers or boos.

Apparently 'Eye of the Tiger' even came on after David Price's knockout defeat to Alexander Povetkin, setting the scene nicely for the Rocky spin-off.

It's not the first time something like this has happened, either, as back in 2016 some parts of the first Creed film were shot at at Everton vs West Brom match at Goodison Park.

Hype's been building for its sequel, which is due to hit screens in November.

Just over a month ago, Stallone teased an image featuring Rocky's former rival Ivan Drago - and, even more excitingly, Drago's son.

With the slightly wrinkly Rocky and Drago looming in the back of the promotional image under hoods, at the forefront is Adonis Creed - the son of Rocky's pal Apollo, played by Michael B. Jordan - and his new rival, who's played by Romanian heavyweight boxer Florian Munteanu.

Munteanu hasn't got many acting credits to his name, but with a nickname of 'Big Nasty' and weighing in at a massive 245 pounds, it sounds like he's a pretty perfect fit.

Fans are still trying to work out what it's going to be about, clutching onto any little detail that Sly feeds us. However, the synopsis online does give away a few details: "Adonis Creed tries to seek revenge when he goes toe to toe with the man who killed his father."

And if you were in the crowd at the Joshua vs Parker match last night, you'll just have to keep those eyes peeled for your Hollywood debut!
