The greatest champion of all time has passed away aged 74.

Former world heavyweight boxing champion Muhammad Ali, arguably one of the world's best-known sportsmen, died at a hospital in the US city of Phoenix, Arizona, after being admitted to hospital on Thursday.

Ali was known for being a controversial and polarizing figure both inside and outside the boxing ring. His incredibly infectious personality became renowned around the world. As well as being crowned "Sportsman Of The Century", Ali was not only a boxer but a role model to many..
