Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano face off for the third time when the pair clash at Madison Square Garden in New York on Friday night.
Irish legend Taylor won the previous two bouts between both boxers, as the duo revisit their inaugural encounter from 2022.
Taylor and Serrano made history three years’ ago as it marked the first time female boxers had headlined at Madison Square Garden in the heart of Manhattan. The pair then acted as the chief undercard fight ahead of Jake Paul’s record-breaking spectacle with Mike Tyson on Netflix in November 2024.
Taylor’s points-decision triumph became the most watched women’s sporting event in US history when they locked horns in Texas as 74 million viewers tuned in. And their trilogy fight will be streamed live on Netflix in both the UK and the US this week as both boxers return to New York.

What is a BBC TV Licence and do I need one to watch?
Fans can sign up to Netflix for an initial £4.99 per month, though UK residents have been warned they could face a £1,000 fine even with a Netflix subscription.
Boxing aficionados need to ensure that adhere to an important law in the UK, as viewers will need to hold a valid TV Licence in order to consume any live event.

“You need to be covered by a TV Licence to watch live on streaming services - such as ITVX, Channel 4, YouTube, Amazon Prime Video, Now, Sky Go, YouTube, and, Netflix,” the TV license website clarifies, which will include Taylor’s trilogy fight with Serrano.
Anyone caught watching the fight live without a TV license could face a £1,000 fine, plus court costs.
A TV license costs £174.50 per year, those these can be paid in monthly instalments, with most users spreading the cost across the year via direct debit.

What time is the Taylor vs Serrano ring walk?

Dina Thorslund was forced to withdraw from the undercard after she found out she was pregnant with her second child, with Australia's Cherneka Johnson stepping in to take the Dane’s place against Shurretta Metcalf.
Friday’s fight is scheduled for 10 two-minute rounds, and with the fight taking place in New York, Taylor and Serrano are expected to make their ring walks between 03:30 and 04:00 BST on early Saturday for those watching in the UK.
Serrano taunting Taylor
Serrano has been stoking the flames ahead of her fight with Taylor, saying: “I promised my fans they would see this trilogy, and I’m incredibly grateful that we get to complete our journey where it all began — at Madison Square Garden, live on Netflix for the world to see.

“I’m disappointed that Katie Taylor did not keep her word and make the trilogy 12 three-minute rounds, equal to the men. This is a record-setting payday for both of us, and we owed it to the fans to honour the handshake deal we made. She didn’t.
“But make no mistake, every time we share the ring, it is war.”
