'Are You P*****!?': John Fury Rages At Carl Frampton For Backing Jake Paul To Beat Tommy Fury

'Are You P*****!?': John Fury Rages At Carl Frampton For Backing Jake Paul To Beat Tommy Fury

Fury was furious with the former two-weight world champion.

John Fury has angrily confronted Carl Frampton after the former two-weight world champion backed Jake Paul to beat Tommy Fury in the boxing ring.

Paul was due to face Tommy in December before the British fighter, younger half-brother of heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, pulled out of the bout with a broken rib and a chest infection.

Paul would go on to beat former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley in a rematch to extend his professional record to 5-0.

Fury remains keen to face Paul but the YouTuber-turned-boxer has dismissed the possibility of a rearranged fight.

Tommy has now recovered from injury and wants to fight on the undercard of Tyson Fury’s WBC heavyweight title defence against Dillian Whyte at Wembley on April 23.

Their father, John, was at Tuesday’s press conference to promote the fight and he used the event to confront Frampton, who had previously picked Paul to beat Tommy.

You can read their tense exchange below.

Frampton: “I think he’s [Paul] improving.”

Fury: “You what? You think Jake Paul’s a boxer?”

Frampton: “No I don’t he’s a boxer.”

Fury: “So why do you think he can beat Tommy then? Answer the question now. Because you disappoint me. I looked up to you. I supported you.”

Frampton: “I’m just trying to be honest John.”

Fury: “Honest? Saying a YouTuber could beat a Fury, are you p****d!?”

Frampton: “I’m not p****d, I’m just trying to be honest.”

Fury: “I don’t want to talk to you. I turn my back on you completely, I don’t want to talk to you at all.”

Frampton then walks away from the exchange as Fury continues to voice his anger.

“Get your facts right or get off the job,” he added.

Paul is yet to announce his next opponent but has said he intends to take a break from boxing until August or September.

Meanwhile, Woodley has said he would be open to facing Tommy Fury on the Wembley undercard, writing on Instagram: “I’m with it.”
