When Is Jake Paul's Next Fight And Who Is He Fighting Against?

Since his August 2018 debut fight against KSI’s brother Deji, Jake Paul has been immersed in the world of boxing.

Jake Paul’s public persona has changed significantly since his days on Disney Channel and Vine.

Whilst his boxing career started slowly (his first three opponents were two YouTubers and a basketball player) Paul has, more recently, defeated mixed martial artists Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley

Jake Paul has announced on his Instagram that he will be next stepping into the ring on 6th August.

According to reports, Tommy Fury is set to be Jake Paul's opponent.

A Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury fight would be the ultimate battle of the slightly less successful younger brothers and would be Paul’s sixth official fight.

Whilst Fury has been boxing for longer than Jake and is, of course, from a boxing family, he only has eight professional fights under his belt.

An official announcement confirming the bout is imminent because a deal is ‘90 percent done’.

The fight will take place at the iconic Madison Square Garden, the home of NBA side the New York Knicks, which has seen bouts including; the ‘Fight of the Century’ between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier in 1971 and Andy Ruiz’s stunning underdog victory against Anthony Joshua in June 2019.

However, should he face Tommy Fury in August this would be Paul’s first contest against a professional boxer.

Paul’s coach Danny Smith says that Tommy Fury is ‘without question’ the right fight for the American at this stage in his career.

Smith has complimented Fury, saying he is a ‘very fast foot guy, very fast hands’, I think it’s unlikely that Jake Paul will be as complimentary about his opponent as his coach has been.

As the eighth series of Love Island rages on it’s fair to say that these days Tommy will have traded ice coffees for protein shakes and will be training far harder than he was just three short years ago when he and Molly-Mae Hague found love on the show’s fifth season.
