A furious Nigel Benn launched an unprompted verbal tirade at Chris Eubank Sr on Saturday night, calling him a "right prat" and an "idiot" who "doesn't even know what he is talking about".
Earlier this week, Benn and Eubank Sr rolled back the years as they went face-to-face at their sons' final pre-fight news conference.
It was a moment boxing fans thought they'd never witness again. More than three decades ago, after years of animosity between the two best middleweights in the country, Eubank Sr beat Benn in an epic WBO title clash.
It was a heated rivalry, to say the least, and a controversial points draw at Old Trafford in 1993 only escalated their fractious relationship.

But the hatred between Benn and Eubank Sr has somewhat faded over recent years, with the pair exchanging words before sharing what many believed to be a 'warm embrace' on stage this week.

However, in the aftermath of his son's victory on Saturday night, Nigel Benn suggested he won't speak to Eubank Sr again after what happened during the media event.
"At the press conference... I'll say it now, we had a face-off," explained Benn, who was clearly agitated. "He is dancing because he loves the limelight. He doesn't care about his son, he just loves the limelight.
"And he is dancing, he came right next to me and I thought, 'Let me just shake your hand', so I pulled him in for a hug and he put his hand up to me.
"And I actually felt like I wanted to... so when he tried to shake my hand tonight, I thought, 'I ain't playing your games, mate'. I don't think I'll even speak to him again, because I find him a right prat.
"He is an idiot," Benn continued. "He tries to quote scripture and all that, he don't even know what he is talking about. I just can't get him. When you have them two around you, everything is just so negative.
"Back in the day, we never talked disrespectful about our promoters that are putting money in our banks and giving us a good life. We never did that with Frank Warren or Mickey Duff, we never slagged them off, but the way he (Eubank Jr) talks about Eddie Hearn, how disrespectful is he? Both of them.
"And then Eubank (Sr) is always talking about, 'We're struggling at the weight, they're going to kill my son', mate, he's been a middleweight for how many years?
"He has been IBO champion, but as soon as he fights a welterweight, oh we have problems. Always bloody moaning. Always."
Benn added: "I tell you what, I'm sick to death of them to tell the truth and I am glad it's over now. I am glad it's over now and we won't have hear about them anymore."
Eubank Sr denies being paid to reunite with son
In the build-up to Saturday's fight at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Eubank Sr claimed that Nigel Benn had accused him of being paid to attend April's fight involving his son.
It has been widely reported that Eubank Jr hadn't spoken to his father in four years before they emerged from a car together on fight night.
Speaking at Thursday's pre-fight news conference, Eubank Sr responded to the money claims, saying: "In regard to the love of a son. If a father takes money, nothing wrong with that. But if there's a father that doesn't take money ... then that is to be studied.
"I'm not easily angered, Nigel. And I keep no record of wrongs. That's why I continuously win because I live by the statutes of the spirit.
"So whoever told Nigel that I was paid whatever sum of money they lied to you. You spouting what they told you makes you a liar. So expose who told you that lie in order to clean your name."
Asked for his thoughts on Eubank Sr's comments, Nigel Benn said: "Nothing. Water down the back, absolutely nothing. It's about my son and Chris Jr. I'm not taking it on board. We're here to talk about a fight."
