Tyson Fury makes feelings clear on Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul fight and says 'I've got to speak it how I see it'

Tyson Fury has backed Mike Tyson's return to the world of professional boxing.

Tyson Fury says he's 'over the moon' and looking forward to the controversial fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson.

Paul vs. Tyson is set for July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and will be a professional contest sanctioned by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations.

The undercard features a world title rematch between champion Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano, with former UFC star Darren Till to make his pro boxing debut against a former world champion boxer.

Paul, who is moving up in weight to face the boxing legend, stunned fans with his new physique ahead of his summer showdown.

But Paul vs. Tyson has been condemned by fans and critics alike.

However, Fury, who's named after 'Iron' Mike, has backed the heavyweight clash and believes only 'negative people' are slamming the event.

When told by Ariel Helwani that some critics feel 'weird' about Paul vs. Tyson, the WBC title holder replied: "Only jealous fighters.

"Negative people who are not making any money. I think it's fantastic. It's created a lot of money."

He added: "I get to see the legend in Mike Tyson back in the ring in my era... I know [Jake and Logan Paul have] a lot of haters, however, I’m not one of them."

Fury was speaking days before his undisputed battle against Oleksandr Usyk, which goes on down Saturday.

And Tyson, a former undisputed heavyweight champion, has backed his namesake to win all the world titles.

"I look forward to that fight," he said.

"That is going to be an interesting fight. I’m going towards Tyson Fury because I think he's just going to overpower him. He's going to catch up with him and overpower him.

"I got to go with Fury. I think he's the best fighter in the world, especially in the heavyweight division."
