Former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson was spotted making an x-rated gesture towards fans during the weigh-in for his fight with Jake Paul this weekend.

Tyson will make his highly-anticipated return to the boxing ring on Friday night to face controversial YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul at the AT&T Stadium in Texas, with the event set to be streamed exclusively on Netflix.

Ahead of the bout, the two fighters met for the final time outside of the ring at the official weigh-in on Thursday, ending in dramatic fashion as Tyson slapped Paul when the pair faced off.

But during the weigh-in, fans have noticed another shocking moment from Tyson as he was spotted making an x-rated gesture to spectators in attendance at the pre-fight event.

As the 58-year-old former champion stepped onto the scales at the Toyota Music Factory in Irving wearing a pair of Versace pants, he stunned fans by grabbing his crotch in front of the audience.

Tyson weighed in at 228.4 lbs for the heavyweight bout, while his opponent Paul registered as 227lbs on the scales, the heaviest weight of his five-year professional career.

And it is not the first time that Tyson has done this at one of his weigh-ins, as he was also spotted making a similar gesture ahead of his heavyweight title fight against British legend Lennox Lewis 22 years ago.

In the build-up to the fight then-challenger Tyson grabbed his crotch and started shouting x-rated comments at the crowd before getting involved with a brawl with the champion and his team at the press conference.

However, while the build-up to both fights may be similar, the American boxer will be hoping for a different result against Paul after Lewis won the 2002 fight via knockout in the eighth round.

But Tyson's gesture wasn't the most viral moment from the weigh-in, after he caught his opponent completely off guard with a heavy slap to the face as they stared down.

Reacting to the moment, Paul told host Ariel Helwani: "Mike Tyson, that was a cute slap buddy but tomorrow you're getting knocked the f*** out.

"I'm f***ing him up, I'm f***ing him up! He hits like a b***h. It's personal now, it's personal now!

"He must die!"
