Jake Paul has left boxing fans confused after his latest fight announcement was made on social media.

Paul hasn't stepped into the ring since November when he defeated Mike Tyson via unanimous decision.

He has been linked with numerous opponents for his next boxing fight, including ex-UFC star Darren Till and KSI.

A potential mega-money fight with Conor McGregor was also raised, and Paul was pictured alongside the Irishman on the way to new US President Donald Trump's inauguration ceremony last week.

But his latest announcement has stunned everyone.

Taking to Twitter, Jake simply uploaded a poster of his next fight, which he says will take place on March 27 on the HBO Max streaming platform.

He captioned the post: "The moment you've waited a decade for... March 27th."

The other face on the photo - staring straight back at him - was none other than his brother Logan.

Unlike his brother, Logan has been focusing more on his WWE career until recent months.

He returned to WWE on Monday night and announced his participation in Saturday's Royal Rumble match in Indiana.

Notably, Paul's post was shared by the official Max account, which has 1.3 million followers. It was also posted via Logan's official account at the same time.

But the announcement has been met with confusion by fans - particularly as Logan will likely appear on the card of WrestleMania 41 in April - and there has even been doubt over whether the poster even represents a fight on that particular date.

One simply wrote: "Is this a joke???"

Another said: "No way WWE allows Logan Paul to fight three weeks before WrestleMania."

A third asked: "Wait Logan Paul is going to be promoting Max, which hosts WWE's biggest rivals? [AEW]"

A fourth claimed: "No chance is this a fight sadly."

Neither Logan nor Jake Paul have commented further on their announcement.

While McGregor vs Jake Paul appears not to be the next move for 'The Problem Child', a fight between the ex-UFC star and Paul is also set to not take place.

McGregor claimed to The Schmo that UFC executives were 'not into' a proposal that would see both fighters fight under the TKO banner - which oversees UFC and WWE - at a venue in Mumbai, India.
