Tyson Fury has already given his prediction for how Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua will play out amid speculation the pair will meet in a heavyweight bout.

After Paul's scheduled Miami bout with Gervonta Davis this weekend was cancelled due to a domestic abuse civil lawsuit against 'Tank', Mike Coppinger of The Ring magazine reported that Paul and two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua were "finalising a deal" for a fight on Netflix on Friday December 19.

The journalist then reported that said deal was reached for a professional fight to be contested at heavyweight and the result count on both fighters' records.

Eddie Hearn, Joshua's long-time promoter, went on record to say it would be a "real fight" with Queensbury rules - meaning three-minute rounds with one-minute breaks as well as 10oz gloves.

It has been speculated that the purse for the superfight would be split 50-50, with both men pocketing a hefty £70 million for stepping inside the ropes.

Paul has said that he "will f**king beat Anthony Joshua's ass" as the Brit has "no chin" and Fury, whose younger brother Tommy handed the YouTuber-turned-boxer his only career defeat, is backing 'the Problem Child' over his fellow Brit.

Having recovered from elbow surgery, there has been talk of Joshua facing Paul as a warm-up fight for a mammoth all-British showdown with Fury, who has been out of action since his second consecutive loss to Oleksandr Usyk in December.

"I don't know about tune-up, I think Jake Paul knocks him out," he told The Ring Magazine in an interview a few months back.

"I just think Jake Paul would knock AJ out. I think AJ's a spent force and Jake Paul's on the rise and I like his new heavyweight look - a bit chubby and a bit bulky.

"And he just did a great job over the ageing Chavez Jr, who was a middleweight but still. I like how Jake Paul calls out the full spectrum from featherweight to heavyweight. That's what you call richter scale call-outs."

On the controversy, Fury's old rival Derek Chisora is backing Joshua, claiming that he will send Paul "home in an ambulance".

In a surprise turn of events, Paul appeared to hint that him facing Joshua is not a foregone conclusion as he took to X to write: "Not holding my breath for 2025. Too many yes men."

Should it go ahead, live on Netflix, Paul vs Joshua could generate viewing figures close to the 27-year-old's fight with Mike Tyson - which peaked at 65 million concurrent streams.

Joshua's last bout was a devastating knockout loss to Daniel Dubois at Wembley in 2024 and he recently dropped out of the heavyweight rankings due to his inactivity.
