Francis Ngannou is set to take on Tyson Fury this weekend

Footage of Francis Ngannou doing pad work ahead of his bout with Tyson Fury has got fans talking.

This weekend, the MMA star is going to enter the ring to battle with unbeaten WBC heavyweight champion Fury.

The fight against Fury will be Ngannou’s first outing since he left the UFC last year and is also his debut as a professional boxer.

Fury vs Ngannou will take place this Saturday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Ahead of the bout, footage of Ngannou doing pad work has emerged and it has got fans talking on social media.

One said: “I’m convinced he’s intentionally trying to look terrible… if this is what he’s bringing the fury won’t get hit…”

Another tweeted: “Looks like a ufc fighter trying boxing.”

A third fan added: “I have not seen one video from this guy training to convince me he has an ounce of chance against fury. Fully expecting this fight to be scripted to create excitement.”

Someone else wrote: “Stiff, heavy feet, slow hands, lacks fundamentals when throwing. Say what you want about Wilder but he could throw. Fury will win this very easy.”

Whilst a fifth commented: “Wow them punches are slow, Fury be having a cuppa during rounds.”

Speaking ahead of the much-anticipated fight, Ngannou is confident he can beat Fury.

As per SB Nation, he said: “The competition is tough, yes. But we are two men, we are going to figure it out. I’m very ready. At this point it’s just recovery time. My training, my last real training was on Saturday and now we just keep training to keep the heart rate going and let the body recover for Saturday.

“He’s a man like me and I can do it.”

Speaking about having boxing great Mike Tyson with him during his training camp, Ngannou said: “It was very helpful mentally, physically, technically. I mean, I do believe if I have one third of Mike Tyson’s technique, I’ll be the best boxer of my generation.”
