Anthony Joshua's surprise new heavyweight ranking has been revealed after his recent defeat against Daniel Dubois.

Joshua, 34, lost in the fifth round to Dubois sparking further questions over his future in the sport.

It was the fourth time AJ had tasted defeat in his career and rumours of an all-British bout with Tyson Fury have quickly diminished.

Joshua was previously ranked third in the Ring Magazine listings but yet another loss hasn't helped his cause.

The Watford-born star is now ranked seventh, according to the latest rankings posted online.

Joshua now finds himself below the likes of Martin Bakole and Agit Kabayel.

Oleksandr Usyk remains the top dog in the championship position, standing with an unbeaten record at present of 22-0-0.

Fury is then followed by Dubois, with Joseph Parker making up the top three positions.

41-year-old powerhouse Zhilei Zhang comes next with Kabayel closely behind, followed by Bakole.

Dubois believes a rematch between himself and Joshua beckons, bidding to improve on his performance in the capital at some point.

“If that happens down the line then yeah,” Dubois told talkSPORT. “Go for it, I wanna do it even better next time.

“I know what I need to improve on as well, so as a champion and a fighter I just want to prove people wrong all the time and that’s what we’ve been doing."

“I think so, I think I would. I think I’d be a lot better again," Dubois added, when asked if the same result would occur.

“It was a great show and it was a great Rocky-type fight, but next time I believe I’ll be more clinical, more sharp and [do] everything better.”

At just 27, there is time on Dubois' side to continue his ascent to the very top of the division.

Hoping to do so, the emerging Brit and reigning IBF champion has expressed his goals within the sport following his win over Joshua.

“I believe I can,” he insisted. “I believe if I make the right adjustments and sharpen up my game more - even more than [Saturday] - I believe I can. This is just the start for me, I need my time."
