Eddie Hall and 'The Mountain' are set to come to blows in their highly-anticipated boxing match in September 2021.

Hall and 'The Mountain', real name Hafthor Bjornsson, have been rivals for some time and traded verbal jabs after Bjornsson broke Hall's deadlift world record on Saturday.

Both men confirmed they had agreed to a boxing match and Bjornsson took to Instagram on Monday to make an official announcement.

The Icelandic beast's post read: "It's official. September 2021 in Las Vegas Nevada, the Mountain vs the Beast. The next year and a half of my career will be solely dedicated towards this fight. I can't wait to have my family ringside as I throw down. I'm coming for you Eddie Hall."

Hall also shared the same image on his Instagram with the caption: "It's 'official' me vs Thor in Las Vegas, Nevada."

'The Mountain' was quick to call out his rival after Saturday's staggering feat, stating: "CoreSports just offered me a seven-year contract, I have signed it already.

"Eddie Hall has been running his mouth now for weeks and I know he has been given the same contract.

"So Eddie, I just knocked out your record. And now I'm ready to knock you out in the ring.

"It's time to put your fist where your big mouth is, and sign the CoreSports contract. I'm ready, are you ready?"

Hall responded almost immediately with a defiant statement.

"1,000 per cent I'm going to sign those papers," he stated in an IGTV video.

"And you know why I'm going to sign those papers... it's not the money, it's not the dead lift feud we've got going on, nothing to do with that.

"It's because you called me a cheat at World's Strongest Man 2017.

"I can't put that to bed, I can't forget it. People may forget it, but you've never apologised.

"You think you should've won that year, regardless of the trophies or not, and you let people know that."

Hall then went of to explain that he was prepared to 'rip Thor's fu**ing head off'.

"I cannot have that, that's why I'm going to sign those papers," he continued.

"Because I want to teach you a lesson. and that lesson is going to be me knocking you the f*** out.

"I don't care if you're 6ft 9in, I don't care if you're an actual giant. I don't care.

"I'm gonna train the hardest, prepare the hardest... do everything in my power to step in that ring and rip your f***ing head off.

"So Thor, get training, I'll see you in the ring."
