Punches Thrown As Fight Breaks Out Between Two Parramatta Eels Fans

The Parramatta Eels and Wests Tigers are bitter age-old rivals, but it seems most of the fighting during their Easter Monday clash was done in the stands - not on the field.

Two Eels fans went toe-to-toe during their team's hotly-contested NRL game against the Tigers with the pair captured on camera throwing punches at each other at Stadium Australia.

And while the reason for their feud still remains unknown, it must have been a pretty serious argument considering the duo were both donning the same colours.

I mean, you should never fight anyone - let alone one of your own, right?

In a video posted on social media, you can see one bloke wearing a classic old-school Parra jersey quietly approach his fellow Eels supporter before striking him with a nasty left hook.

The sound of the punch was truly awful, but the man somehow managed to remain on his feet and launched an attack of his own.

Rising from his seat he managed to catch the bloke with a cheeky right hand before his mate - a Wests Tigers fan - jumped in to help out.

The sticky situation was quickly defused by arena security who wasted no time in booting one of the blokes out.

Unsurprisingly, it wasn't long before footage of the incident flooded social media with fans from other NRL teams tagging their mates.

But it was popular account The NRL Roast who perhaps summed up the ordeal best with their caption: "You're meant to fight the guys in the opposition colours aren't you?"
