At 7-foot-4-inches tall, Zhang Ziyu is undoubtedly one for the future.

The 14-year-old has sent the internet into a frenzy after footage emerged online of her absolutely tearing oppositions to shreds on the basketball court over in China.

A bunch of WNBA teams will have surely seen the viral clip by now, which shows Ziyu dominating at the both ends of the court.

She ended up guiding her team to the China National Championship, where she put up and impressive 42 points, 25 rebounds and six blocks.

Not bad, not bad at all

The video was originally posted by the Global Times but was re-shared by Overtime and Hoop Central on social media and has now been seen by millions of people.

Fans were absolutely loving Ziyu too, one person commenting: "New favourite athlete."

While ESPN's NFL analyst Mina Kimes added: "LOOK AT GOD."

The footage of Ziyu did, however, spark some debate among viewers as to whether the towering star should be playing in an older year group with players who are closer to her stature.

One bloke tweeted: "Why she is playing with 14 years old kids? She needs to play with older bigger than her."

While another chimed in, saying: "This might be the most unfair thing I've ever seen in my life lol."

And one said: "She will be disappointed if she goes pro, because she would've spent most of her life thinking it'll always be that easy."

Incredibly, Ziyu is already almost the same height as one of the tallest NBA stars of all-time Yao Ming.

Ming, who is worshipped over in China by basketball die-hards, stood at a whopping 7-foot-5-inches tall and is an eight-time NBA All Star.
