Conor McGregor Finally Confirms Interest In Boxing Jake Paul

Despite paying little attention to Paul's previous call-outs, it seems McGregor has now changed his tune.

Conor McGregor has finally admitted he's open to taking on Jake Paul at some point down the line.

The Irishman is on the brink of making a return to the octagon following his devastating leg snap last year against Dustin Poirier.

But during McGregor's injury layoff, a certain someone has been making headlines in the combat sports world.

YouTuber and social media personalty Jake Paul currently boasts an unbeaten record inside the ring and is fresh off the back of a big knockout win over former UFC champion Tyron Woodley.

Paul has made no secret of the fact he's keen to lock horns with McGregor, but the UFC's poster boy has refused to respond to Paul's relentless trash-talk - well, until now.

Despite initially paying little attention to Paul's call-outs, it seems McGregor has changed his tune when discussing the prospect of facing the former Disney actor.

"Who knows? Never say never," McGregor told the Mirror.

But if you thought the prospect of testing himself against Paul's boxing ability was the driving force behind McGregor's interest then you'd be sorely mistaken.

It turns out the MMA megastar isn't too impressed with what he's seen so far.

"I didn't see the Woodley fight. It only did a couple thousand buys. I saw it online," McGregor added.

"I didn't hear the diss track on Dana. I don't pay attention to all of that.

Trash-talking, tattoo-sporting Paul is no stranger to calling out basically every man and his dog under the sun.

From fellow YouTubers to boxing greats like Mike Tyson and Tyson Fury, Paul certainly isn't shying away from the big names.

But it's his bitter feud with MMA juggernauts the UFC which is perhaps the most complex.

Paul's war of words with company president Dana White is pretty documented and tensions truly boiled over when Paul released a wild video which fired shots at White, McGregor and a bunch of MMA stars.

In the clip, he directly went after McGregor and his family.

"What the f*** is up you Irish c***," he said while wearing flip sunglasses made famous by McGregor himself.

"Good morning, Conor McGregor. I know you are probably beating up old dudes in a bar right now or maybe you are jacking off because you are sick of f****** your wife right now because she is a 4. Conor you could do a lot better. But happy Monday. My team sent you a 50 million dollar offer this morning, 50 million dollars cash, proof of funds, the biggest fight of offer you've ever been offered, but you are scared to fight me Conor, you are ducking me because you don't want to lose to a f****** YouTuber.

"You are a 0-1 as a boxer, I'm 2-0 as a boxer. I just came off the eighth biggest pay-per-view event in history, but you want to fight Dustin Prober (Poirier) who has less followers than on Instagram than my f****** dog, that's a fact."
