Olympic legend Usain Bolt has named the one record he currently holds that means more to him than anything else.

It's now been 16 years since Bolt set his famous world record for the 100m sprint in Berlin with a time of 9.58 seconds, leaving no doubt that the Olympic legend was the best in the world.

After ending his career with eight Olympic gold medals and world records in the 100m, 200m, and 4x100m events, Bolt took this one step further and clearly established himself as the greatest sprinter of all time.

Since setting his records, several men have attempted to dethrone the Jamaican sprinter, with with the likes of current Olympic champion Noah Lyles coming close.

But Bolt has now admitted that there is one record that he is seriously concerned about losing, claiming that it meant more to him than any other in his storied career.

Although his record-setting 100m sprint in 2009 is perhaps Bolt's most famous performance, his 19.19-second dash in the 200m at the same event was equally impressive.

And while speaking on the Ready Set Go podcast, the 38-year-old revealed that it's his 200m record that he treasures the most.

"The 200m is my favourite event. So when I got that, it meant so much more to me than the 100m," he admitted.

"Even now people say, 'Oh the 100?' and I'm [like], 'But, 200m, you know what I mean?' It's my favourite thing. When it comes to the 200m I don't fear anybody. I'm ready all the time."

Bolt's iconic 200m sprint has long been viewed as untouchable, but the shock emergence of Australian youngster Gout Gout has put it under serious threat.

Last year, the 17-year-old smashed Bolt's record for the fastest time in the 200 metres by a 16-year-old and recently put in a a wind-assisted 200m time of 19.98.

Speaking about the comparisons to Bolt, the Australian sensation said: "In the moment it feels great because everyone wants to be compared to Usain Bolt, the fastest athlete alive.

“At times it does get a bit overwhelming but, now that I’ve grown up, I’m a bit mature and my circle really helps me stay level and I’m just trying to make a name for myself. My dream is I want to be one of the best athletes track and field and Australia has ever seen.
