The Olympic Village is a notorious hotbed of hedonism and debauchery and the stories that emerge would make anyone blush.
Olympians of all stripes are accommodated in the sprawling city when it pops up in a new form once every two years and the heady cocktail of young, fit people reaching the end of four years' hard work and actual heady cocktails inevitably leads to partying.
Within the weird and wonderful world of the Olympic Village there are tales of booze, bizarre behaviour and propositions, some more deviant and specialist than others.

At the Summer Games in Barcelona in 1992, condoms were offered to Olympians to encourage safe sex at the Olympic Village.
There's no way to adequately protect against "French handballers dressed only in socks, shoes, jockstraps, neckties and hats on top of a dining table, feeding one another lunch" but there's only so much a governing body can do.
Back in 2012, Javelin thrower Breaux Greer said that the temporary playground was potent because: "The girls are in skimpy panties and bras, the dudes in underwear, so you see what everybody is working with from the jump. Even if their face is a 7, their body is a 20."

And former Team USA alpine skier Carrie Sheinberg explained to ESPN that the Olympic Village is "just a magical, fairy-tale place, like Alice in Wonderland, where everything is possible" and athletes "could win a gold medal and you can sleep with a really hot guy."
That's all well and good, but mingling with medal winners in this city within a city can be a minefield too.
Sheinberg competed at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer and had to put up with cack-handed approaches from randy medallists. In her case, it was a pair of German bobsledders.

"They made it clear that they'd trade me their gold for all kinds of other favours," she recalled.
"I said jokingly, 'Thanks, but Tommy Moe has a medal. I'll play with his.'"
Sheinberg's Team USA colleague Moe had in fact medalled twice, collecting gold in the Downhill event and silver in Super-G.
He later married Lillehammer teammate Megan Gerety.
