Yves Bissouma 'Destined to Play for Arsenal Next Season' As Club Close In On Signing

According to Italian sources, Arsenal are close to signing Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma.

Ahead of a summer likely full of transfer business for Arsenal, depth in midfield certainly will be a priority.

Thomas Partey's injuries last season were detrimental to Arsenal's form towards the back-end of the season and the club will surely be preparing for the possibility the Ghanaian has future problems, given the frequency of such issues since his arrival in 2020.

Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma has been mentioned in conversations pertaining to possible depth options, with the Mali international likely to leave the south-coast club this summer after a very impressive season.

Arsenal fans were further encouraged in the possibility of a move after Bissouma reposted Instagram stories pressing the North London club to spend the money required to make the midfielder their first signing of the summer. According to one source in Italy, Arsenal are about to do just that.

Calciomercato have claimed that Bissouma is 'destined' to play for Mikel Arteta's side next season and the Gunners are closing in on the Brighton man's signature.

Whether these links materialise or not, a Thomas Partey rotation option must be on the Arsenal boss' list this summer and the Malian would make a fine addition to his midfield as Arsenal hope to achieve success both domestically and in Europe.

Arsenal have a busy summer ahead with links to Gabriel Jesus, Youri Tielemans and a host of other names already rife, while the long term future of Bukayo Saka will be something the club hope to tie down as soon as possible too.
