Chelsea face Tottenham Hotspur in their first home game of the 2022/23 Premier League season on Sunday afternoon at Stamford Bridge.

Thomas Tuchel's side began their new campaign with a narrow 1-0 away win at Goodison Park against Everton, courtesy of a penalty from Jorginho on the stroke of half time.

Meanwhile, Spurs thumped Southampton at home on the opening day with a 4-1 victory in north London.

Antonio Conte returns to Stamford Bridge once again to face his former side, and will be keen to get their first win over the Blues in the league in west London since 2018 when they won 3-1, thanks to a Dele Alli brace and Christian Eriksen's leveller.

Despite only being one game in, Spurs are sat at the top of table on goal difference, and both will be keen to continue their winning start to the new season.

Chelsea are set to have a full squad - bar two players - available to face their London counterparts. Raheem Sterling, Marc Cucurella and Kalidou Koulibaly all made their Blues debuts last weekend.

"Koulibaly came late and struggled. Raheem struggled physically at the end," revealed Tuchel post-Everton.

“Cucurella was very strong for 20 minutes. Koulibaly came off with just cramp."

Armando Broja will be eager to get a starting role for the Blues after coming on from the bench against the Toffees.

Ben Chilwell is continuing to be eased back in following his ACL injury, which could see Cucurella start on Sunday having had a full week's training with his new teammates.

Mateo Kovacic will miss the game with a knee injury, while Marcos Alonso has been absent from training due to finalising his transfer to Barcelona.

“He (Marcos Alonso) is not in training at the moment and tries to finalise his transfer so he will not be available for (Sunday’s) game," admitted Tuchel.

"It’s the same for Kova, who is injured. Has issues with his knee, always a little bit of a reaction. We decided to take a step back and increase treatment time to reduce the stress that comes from training to have a normal reaction before we start again. Everybody else is available.”
