Inside Juventus' enquiry for Chelsea trio N'Golo Kante, Jorginho and Christian Puliisic

Inside Juventus' enquiry for Chelsea trio N'Golo Kante, Jorginho and Christian Puliisic

Juventus have held interest in Chelsea trio N'Golo Kante, Jorginho and Christian Pulisic and could still make a move.

Juventus held interest in Chelsea trio N'Golo Kante, Jorginho and Christian Pulisic, discussing these names during Matthijs de Ligt talks with the Blues.

Chelsea were heavily linked with a move for former Juventus defender De Ligt earlier in the transfer window but the Dutch defender opted to move to Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.

After Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen left the club, Thomas Tuchel had identified De Ligt as his primary target.

However, the Blues instead added Kalidou Koulibaly, Wesley Fofana and Marc Cucurella to their defence, with alternative targets going elsewhere.

The most notable, alongside De Ligt, was that of Jules Kounde, who joined Barcelona despite long-standing interest from Chelsea.

Despite De Ligt not arriving at Stamford Bridge, there could still be business done between Juventus and Chelsea in the future.

During the summer, both Pulisic and Timo Werner were linked with switches to Turin.

Despite this, Werner re-joined RB Leipzig and Pulisic remained with Chelsea and will be looking to break into Graham Potter's plans after Tuchel's dismissal earlier this month.

It has now been revealed that further names came up in conversation, with Juventus interested in Pulisic, Kante and Jorginho ahead of future transfer windows.

As revealed by journalist Ben Jacobs, Juventus enquired about Kante during talks with De Ligt, considered a loan for Pulisic but prefer a move for Jorginho.

The report states that, while they are interested in signing Kante, this is only 'superficial' as of now.

Paris Saint-Germain are also monitoring the situation of the midfielder, but Juventus enquired in the summer window when Chelsea were in talks with the Italian side over De Ligt.

However, Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri preferred to sign fellow Chelsea midfielder Jorginho.

Despite this, Jorginho was not keen on a move to the Italian side and opted to stay at Chelsea, where he will prioritise signing a new contract.

Finally, Juventus were considering a loan with an option to buy for Pulisic, with Chelsea willing to let the USMNT star go in the summer.

However, with internal talks held, Juventus decided against making a move for the USMNT star.

Pulisic is thought to be keen to link up with his national teammate Weston McKennie but no move was made.

It remains to be seen as to whether Juventus will return for any of the trio, with Kante and Jorginho's deals expiring next summer.
