Jorginho wants to stay at Chelsea beyond this summer, but remains unsure where his long-term future lies.

The 30-year-old has just one year left on his contract at Stamford Bridge and is yet to enter contract renewal talks with Chelsea.

His agent, Joao Santos has confirmed they are likely to hold discussions with the Blues in September once the transfer window, leaving the door open to a potential summer departure.

Santos admitted: “Chelsea are the priority.

“The contract will expire in 2023, I think we will talk about the renewal from September."

Jorginho has constantly been linked with a return to Italy. Juventus have been strongly linked with a switch for the Italy international, and remain interested in a potential swoop.

But the central midfielder is focused on his time at Chelsea and not looking for a transfer at the moment.

While away in the United States on Chelsea’s pre-season tour, he told Adam Newson: "Of course, I love Chelsea. I feel very well here and of course, I’d like to stay.

“But you know, there is a lot going on and we don’t know.

“As I said before, I am here now and I have contract and I love to be here, I feel very well here. So I don’t think about moving anywhere.

“For many years now (there is speculation). Every single year! I don’t think like this. I just think about where I am and focus 100 percent. I’m at Chelsea and I think about Chelsea 100 percent."

Jorginho isn’t the only Chelsea player whose future is uncertain this summer. Many players could leave during the summer transfer window, including Hakim Ziyech, Marcos Alonso and club captain Cesar Azpilicueta.

But Jorginho knows you have to take it day by day, and take whatever happens in their stride to ensure they push themselves to the limit on a daily basis.

He continued: "We don’t know (what is going to happen) but we are professionals.

“The only thing I feel I can say is that everyone is still here. They need to focus on what they are doing here every single day, not just for the club but for themselves because you don’t know what is going to happen.

"Maybe they can have an opportunity here, they don’t go anywhere, they stay here and can help us.

“Every day (they need to) push themselves to work hard and think for this team because it is their team now. They are here now. If tomorrow something happens then they can think another thing."
