Graham Potter has revealed that he believes there is more to come from this Chelsea squad and has identified their main focus.

Since the 47-year-old took over at Stamford Bridge the Blues have looked significantly improved.

He replaced Thomas Tuchel who had a difficult start to the season, suffering embarrassing losses to both Leeds and Southampton.

The final nail in the coffin came when the west London side lost to Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League. Potter's arrival though has seen Chelsea go on a five game unbeaten run in all competitions.

His reign began with a draw against Red Bull Salzburg, but since then it has been nothing but wins.

They have beaten both Crystal Palace and Wolves in the Premier League, and AC Milan twice in Europe.

The results they've had have seen them move into the top four in England, and to the top of their group in the Champions League.

While the decision to get rid of Tuchel was heavily questioned, life under Potter has been very successful.

This weekend the Blues will be hoping to continue their winning streak with an away game against Aston Villa.

A big issue that Potter is going to have to contend with is the injury that Reece James suffered in midweek.

The defender picked up a knee injury and could end up missing the World Cup. Despite this Potter will be hopeful and have faith in his squad to get the job done at Villa Park.

Ahead of the game, he shared his praise for the team so far this season. He said: “Well, I think we have quite a few games in a short space of time. So we’ve had to use the group as wisely as possible which we’ve done.

I’ve been really impressed with the guys, their attitudes have been fantastic. There are still a few lads that haven’t had game time but that isn’t because they’ve done anything wrong, they can field eleven.

Potter continued and spoke about what the Blues main priorities are: "So the main focus now is to go game to game and keep progressing.

"I don’t think we’re at the maximum in terms of where the team is at, we’re not at the limit and there is more to come from the team and individuals. So always keep an open mind and we will see.”
