Graham Potter has confirmed the Chelsea team news to face Brentford in the Premier League on Wednesday evening.

Chelsea head across the capital to west London to play Thomas Frank’s side looking to maintain their unbeaten start to life under Graham Potter.

They are yet to lose, winning five of his first six games in charge in all competitions. After winning their last five games in a row, Chelsea have also kept four consecutive clean sheets which has seen them move in the top four spots in the Premier League.

Brentford and Chelsea both won 2-0 in their previous games coming into the city derby, giving Frank and Potter confidence of getting a result on Wednesday.

Chelsea will be without Reece James (knee), Wesley Fofana (knee) and N’Golo Kante (hamstring) against the Bees.

But there are no other injury concerns for Chelsea, with Potter revealing before the match: "It's as we were, no problems from the weekend."

Thiago Silva picked up a hamstring issue against Villa at the weekend, but Chelsea will oversee his recovery prior to the London derby before making a final decision.

Potter confirmed the 38-year-old is not injured: "We need to make sure the recovery is right. No problems injury wise.

Silva will need his minutes managed this season as he continues to get older by the day, despite his performances not suggesting he is 38.

Potter will ensure the Brazil international is involved in conversations, adding: "I have to involve him in the conversation (managing minutes). He's 38, he's really important for us.

"We have to manage him correctly and he has to be involved in the process."

Potter was full of praise for Chelsea's opponents Brentford ahead of the game. Chelsea will be looking to make it six wins in a row in all competitions, but the 47-year-old is aware of the threat the Bees will pose on Wednesday night.

He concluded: "Brentford are really good at what they do, Thomas has done a really good job. They make the most out of what they have, credit to Thomas and everyone at Brentford.

"They use Ivan Toney well, attack with clarity and defend with organisation.

"They align the resources really cleverly. The way they play fits the players they have. Set plays very dangerous.

"Ivan Toney is as dangerous as anybody in the league.

"They have a spirit and understanding, really well motivated and organised. Credit to Thomas."
